• Biographie

Leonard (ou Leonhard) Schulz est né à Vienne (Autriche). Enfant très précoce, il donne son premier concert à l'âge de 8 ans.
Plus tard, en 1828, après une tournée en Angleterre, il restera vivre à Londres.
On le considère comme l'un des plus brillants interprètes de son temps, à l'image de Coste, Zani de Ferranti, Regondi et Mertz.

Le manuscrit de l'Indispensable signé J.G.Holm est probablement un manuscrit autographe de Gerhard Holm (1853-1926), géologue mais aussi guitariste et violoncelliste amateur.
